Keeping An Eye on the Company: Camper and Nicholson Marina Investments

Our political decision makers and many influential private sector voices have pontificated to “we the people” that Grenada desperately needs Camper and Nicholsons’ investment and that we must give them “what they want” –  never mind the legitimacy of the  title holder(?) who sold people’s property to them – let them reclaim and dump and build.  That is “progress”!

CDGLH Response to GCIC President

Permit us to point out that as citizens and as civic organizations, it is our responsibility to discuss and debate issues of national development.  Investments which involve the people’s property, the absence of transparence and accountability in respect of transactions to facilitate these investments and physical development which does not follow approved planning procedures and guidelines are the real issues for those concerned about sustainable and suitable development.
